Cambridge indie-rock quartet Eureka Stockade release their double a-side single ‘Without You / Broken Pieces’ from their self-titled debut album on 9th May 2011. Eureka Stockade are Andy Brown, Rob Toulson, Nathan Jones and Paul Richards and their material is released on the Cracking Tunes record label (www.crackingtunes.com).
Without you is a beautiful and heartfelt acoustic ballad, supplemented with guest pedal steel guitar by David Greeves. Without You is a powerful song of longing and reflection that conjures the most romantic of memories.
The double a-side track, Broken Pieces, is a rousing duet featuring Katrina Polfrey as guest vocalist. Broken Pieces rises from an intimate acoustic intro to a driven orchestral finale, with Anna Scott providing a backdrop of strings to Eureka Stockade’s warm electric charm.
